Solar energy projects in Germany continue to add up

Canadian Solar recently announced that it supplied solar modules for an 8.5-megawatt power plant in Lindenhof near Neubrandenburg in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The system uses 36,000 CS6P-P solar modules.
"We continue to rely on Canadian Solar modules in our projects due to their outstanding quality and performance, and excellent customer service,"said Dr. Marko Schulz, managing director of saferay. "Thanks to favorable weather conditions, we are on track to complete the solar park installation so the power plant will be turnkey ready in December."
The nearly-constructed solar park is the second project Canadian Solar has put together for saferay. Earlier this year, Canadian Solar completed the Senftenberg II/III 78 MW partial complex in Brandenburg that is part of the world's largest renewable energy facility.
These solar installations are just part of the booming solar energy market in Germany. The German Solar Industry Association recently announced the 1 millionth photovoltaic system was recently connected to the power grid.
One of the more recent PV systems installed in Germany is located on the roof of the Institute for Sports Equipment Research and Development in Berlin.
