Suntech named one of the top places to work in Arizona

Posted: 2011-12-14

Suntech Power Holdings was recently honored by the Phoenix Business Journal as one of the top places to work in Arizona, which makes Suntech's Goodyear, Arizona, manufacturing facility the only solar panel producer to be ranked in the top 10.

"We're honored to be recognized as one of the top employers in a region that's well-positioned to lead the growth of U.S. solar industry," said John Lefebvre, president of Suntech America. "Our highly skilled workforce in Arizona has enabled the steady growth of our first U.S. manufacturing facility. We look forward to continuing that momentum in the years ahead."

Employee participation in the Phoenix Business Journal's Best Places to Work survey elicited that Suntech was one of the best workplaces in Arizona due to friendships they've made, the attitudes of their colleagues and the satisfaction of creating a product that has a positive impact on the environment.

While Suntech was being named one of the best places to work in Arizona by Phoenix Business Journal, the magazine also reports that China is throwing a wrench into the plans of solar panel providers in Arizona by cutting prices of their solar panels to undercut the competition.
